Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operation and management of our data warehouse. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in database administration, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Optimize Snowflake database for speed and efficiency, addressing any bottlenecks or issues.
  • Implement and maintain database security policies, including role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database architecture with business requirements.
  • Monitor Snowflake usage, costs, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Ensure smooth data migrations and integrations with other systems.
  • Provide on-call support for critical database issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Tune SQL queries and improve database performance for optimal operations.

Necessary Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, including data warehousing, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Strong proficiency in Snowflake SQL and expertise in role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale data environments with a focus on stability, performance, and security.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
