Role Description

This is a
full-time on-site
role for a
skilled
3D Rigging
Artist
located in
Gurugram
. The 3D Rigging Artist will be responsible for creating and maintaining 3D rigs, ensuring proper function for animation. Day-to-day tasks include working with
Blender, ZBrush
and other 3D tools to design, model, rig, and animate complex characters and environments. The artist will also collaborate closely with the animation and development teams to integrate rigs into larger projects, ensuring they meet artistic and technical requirements.
Knowledge of

and
JavaScript

for real-time web integration will be a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize
    rigs for 3D humanoid models
    ensuring smooth deformations and realistic movements.
  • Work closely with the modeling and animation teams to ensure rigs are production-ready.
  • Implement
    blend shapes, constraints, and controllers
    for lifelike character performance.
  • Support
    skin weighting, corrective shapes, and facial rigging
    for advanced expressions.
  • Collaborate with developers for
    real-time integration
    using or similar frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot and refine rigs to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Maintain and manage
    rigging templates, tools, and documentation
    for the pipeline.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in
    Blender
    for rigging and model preparation.
  • Good knowledge of 3D design tools such as
    Photoshop
    ,
    Substance Painter
    , or similar.
  • Experience with
    weight painting

,
IK/FK systems

, and
deformation techniques
Lighting and Texturing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot rigging issues
- Proficiency in additional 3D tools such as
ZBrush
is a plus
- Knowledge of

and
JavaScript
for integrating rigs into web platforms is a big plus.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Visual Effects, Computer Graphics, or related field

Good to have

  • Experience with
    VRM/FBX model formats
    and real-time engines.
  • Familiarity with
    facial animation systems and motion capture data

  • Understanding of
    version control systems (Git/GitHub)
    for team collaboration.
