Role Description

As the Head of Finance, you will lead the Finance function across all company group entities, ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and strategic support to drive business growth. This role involves overseeing accounting, finance, and statutory functions while collaborating closely with sales and operations teams to optimize EBITDA, enhance working capital efficiency, and improve overall financial performance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in finance in a manufacturing setup, capable of guiding a seasoned team and aligning financial strategies with operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1.Financial Management and Reporting

• Oversee accounting, finance, and statutory compliance for the group, including maintenance of books of accounts.
• Ensure timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Manage yearly and monthly budgeting processes, including variance analysis (budgeting vs. actuals) to support informed decision-making.

2.EBITDA and Profitability Optimization

• Drive EBITDA management by coordinating with sales and operations teams to implement improvements.
• Handle sales management for multiple customers (over 100), ensuring production changes are aligned with financial goals.
• Focus on cost optimization, working capital efficiency, and enhancing sales efficiency through daily sales collections and increasing Net Realizable Values (NRVs).

3.Risk and Compliance

• Maintain compliance and governance standards across all entities.
• Develop and monitor customer credibility indices, guiding the sales team on credit-based operations to minimize risks.

4.Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Lead a team of 10 finance professionals, including long-tenured managers.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with sales (including 11 officers in other cities) and operations to ensure financial strategies support business objectives.

5.Strategic Initiatives

• Contribute to overall business strategy by providing financial insights and recommendations for growth and efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education - Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

Experience - Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in finance in a manufacturing setup (pharma or insurance manufacturing please excuse), with at least the last 2 years in a leadership role heading the finance function.

Proven track record in the manufacturing industry.

Skills and Competencies

Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, cost control, and statutory compliance.

Proficiency in EBITDA management, working capital optimization, and sales/finance integration.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Effective leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor experienced professionals.

Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to manufacturing finance.

Other Preferences

Fluency in Telugu (speaking) is must for effective communication within the team and stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
