Safety Manager

Job Purpose:
To ensure workplace safety, compliance with statutory regulations, and the implementation of safe electrical practices across all projects, plants, or facilities. The role involves monitoring, training, and enforcing safety standards to prevent accidents, particularly related to electrical hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor the company's EHS policies, procedures, and programs with focus on electrical safety.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits at project sites and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Factory Act, Electricity Act, OSHA/ISO standards, etc.).
- Supervise safe installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and tools.
- Investigate incidents/accidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Coordinate with project teams to integrate safety measures in planning and execution.
- Liaise with external agencies (statutory bodies, inspectors, safety auditors) as required.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
