Safety Supervisor

**Overview**:
The Safety Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees within the workplace. This position involves implementing and overseeing safety protocols, conducting inspections, training staff on safety procedures, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The Safety Supervisor collaborates with management to develop and improve safety programs, investigates accidents or incidents, and provides recommendations for preventing future occurrences.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Safety Program Management**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies.
- Regularly review and update safety procedures to reflect industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

2. **Training and Education**:

- Conduct safety training sessions for employees, covering topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide ongoing safety education and awareness programs to promote a culture of safety within the organization.

3. **Inspections and Audits**:

- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address identified safety issues and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with external agencies for regulatory inspections and audits.

4. **Incident Investigation**:

- Lead investigations into workplace accidents, injuries, or near misses to determine root causes and contributing factors.
- Compile incident reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents and corrective measures taken.

5. **Emergency Preparedness**:

- Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios, such as fire, chemical spills, or natural disasters.
- Conduct drills and simulations to ensure readiness and evaluate the effectiveness of emergency procedures.
- Coordinate with emergency response teams and local authorities as necessary.

6. **Risk Assessment and Hazard Mitigation**:

- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential workplace hazards and assess the level of risk.
- Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks and implement control measures to prevent accidents or injuries.

7. **Communication and Collaboration**:

- Serve as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with management, supervisors, and employees to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Communicate safety updates, initiatives, and best practices across the organization through meetings, presentations, and written materials.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software/tools.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
