Job Overview :
Assistant Manager – HSE will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety and environmental policies , ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, providing employee training, and actively promoting a strong safety culture across all departments.
Key responsibilities :
Policy Development and Implementation
· Create and maintain comprehensive HSE policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and legal requirements.
· Activities to ensure employee engagement, regulatory compliance and implement the WHSE system to protect human health & the environment
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
· Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and prioritize preventive measures.
· Implement control measures to minimize risks and prevent accidents.
Compliance Monitoring and Auditing:
· Perform routine safety inspections and audits to ensure adherence to HSE standards.
· Incident Investigation and Reporting
Employee Training and Awareness:
· Develop and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for all employees at various levels.
·Developing, planning, coordinating, and directing environmental and health/safety across locations
Travel -The candidate should be willing to travel outside Bangalore to our regional offices and client site.
Profile
· There should be at least five years of job experience and should not exceed more than ten years of experience working in the construction/manufacturing sector.
· Education qualification: B.E (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil) with a minimum of five years of experience or Diploma with eight of minimum experience
· Technical qualification: PG in Health & Safety course or NEBOSH or RLI approved Diploma in safety course.
· Work related Experience: Experience preferred working in good construction industries or any renowned Manufacturing industry
Skill set
· Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
· Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE programs
· Leadership and communication abilities to influence and engage employees
· Ability to conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports
· Knowledge of relevant safety standards and best practices
· OHSMS Knowledge: Should have knowledge on ISO Occupational Health Management System) implementation, documentation and maintenance of the system.
· Language to Speak: Should know Kannada language to speak apart from English. Knowing Tamil and Hindi language is preferable.
