Job Title: Manual QA Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manual QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of web and mobile applications by designing and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and working closely with the development team to drive product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze system specifications and requirements
  • Collaborate with QA Leads, developers, and product managers to understand application workflows
  • Develop and execute manual test cases and test plans based on product requirements
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or similar
  • Perform regression testing, exploratory testing, and smoke testing
  • Ensure software quality across various browsers, devices, and platforms
  • Report detailed test results and suggest improvements
  • Work in Agile/Scrum development cycles

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in Manual Testing
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis)
  • Basic knowledge of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries
  • Familiarity with web debugging tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools, Fiddler)
  • Good understanding of cross-browser and responsive testing
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to API testing (using Postman or similar tools)
  • Basic understanding of test automation concepts
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
