Roles and responsibilities.

  1. Manages vendor relationships and contracts, negotiating terms and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  2. Monitors inventory levels, forecasts demand, and coordinates with vendors for the timely procurement and delivery of goods to support field operations.
  3. Analyzes vendor performance metrics, identifies areas for improvement, and implements strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the supply chain.
  4. Develops tools and processes that enable the business to evaluate and select the right suppliers based on in-depth research of outsourcing options .
  5. Spends a significant portion of the time analyzing data to determine the most effective solutions for the company's vendor needs

Skills required

  1. Strong analytical skills to assess vendor performance, monitor key metrics, and identify areas for improvement .
  2. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills to effectively manage vendor contracts and relationships .
  3. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to track performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  4. Meticulous attention to detail and strong time management skills for handling vendor onboarding, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is typically required .
  2. 2-3 years of experience in a logistics, supply chain management, or a vendor-facing role (Preferably in Field Operations Management).
