Job description

Role & responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure including servers, networks, firewalls, and end-user systems to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize system performance across hardware, networks, and applications to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure robust data security and compliance through proper configuration of firewalls, antivirus, access control, and regular security audits.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and installations for servers, computers, and networking equipment with minimal business disruption.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, LAN/WAN, and end-user computing devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networking, printers, desktops, laptops, and other peripherals.
  • Maintain backups, disaster recovery systems, and IT asset inventory for business continuity.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT equipment procurement, installation, and AMC support.
  • Document IT processes, network configurations, and update system manuals for internal knowledge base.
  • Train and guide employees on basic IT usage, security best practices, and troubleshooting.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Computer Science / IT / Electronics (or equivalent).
  • Min Experience: 8 years in IT infrastructure management, networking, and system administration.
  • Certifications (preferred but not mandatory): CCNA / MCSA / RHCE / CompTIA Security+.
  • Hands-on experience in networking, firewall management, and server administration.
  • Good knowledge of Windows/Linux environments, data backup, and IT security practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues quickly and provide timely support.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to interact with internal teams & vendors.
  • Should be proactive, process-oriented, and willing to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
