Associate - HBS Screening

JOB PURPOSE

This role involves screening registered baggages according to regulations, ensuring passenger safety, and 
preventing unlawful interference in civil aviation. It requires attention to detail, strong observational skills, and 
the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment by conducting security screenings on registered 
baggage using various methods such as X-ray machines, metal detectors, explosive trace detection equipment, 
and manual searching techniques.

Accuracy in Detection: Ensuring that all prohibited items, 
including weapons and explosives, are accurately identified 
and flagged. 
The percentage of prohibited items accurately 
detected during screening 

Compliance with Procedures: Adhering to established 
security protocols and regulations to ensure consistent and 
effective screening.
Average time taken to screen passengers and 
their belongings, balancing speed with 
thoroughness to minimize delays 

Customer Service: Assisting passengers with inquiries and 
providing guidance on security procedures while maintaining 
professionalism. 
Feedback and satisfaction scores from 
passengers regarding their screening 
experience, indicating the quality of customer 
service. 

Incident Reporting: Promptly reporting any security 
incidents, suspicious behavior, or anomalies to appropriate 
authorities. 
Time taken to respond to and resolve security 
incidents or alarms, impacting overall security 
and safety 

Equipment Operation: Properly operating and maintaining 
screening equipment to ensure optimal performance and 
reliability. 
Frequency of false alarms or errors in 
detection, indicating accuracy and effectiveness 
in using screening equipment. 

Training and Certification: The completion of required AVsec 
courses in compliance with NCASTP, including certification 
Completion rates of required training programs 
and certifications, ensuring up-to-date 
knowledge and skills. 

Confidentiality: Handling sensitive information and personal 
data with discretion and confidentiality.
Adherence to standard operating procedures 
and security protocols, measured through 
audits and supervisor reviews. 

Assisting with Emergency Situations: Responding to and 
managing emergency situations, including potential threats 
or breaches of security.

Maintaining Records: Keeping detailed records of security 
screening activities and any incidents or irregularities.

Associate : Work Experience of 0 to 3 years in a reputed Security organization, preferably in Aviation/Airport 
Security.
