Quantitative Developer Intern (with Full-time Opportunity)

Location: Pune

Duration: 6 months

Role Overview

As a Quantitative Developer Intern, you'll work on building and improving tools that directly

support our trading operations. You will get exposure to live market data, backtesting frameworks,

and trading systems while collaborating with experienced professionals in the field.

This role is ideal for recent graduates or freshers (under 1 year of experience) looking to gain

practical experience at the intersection of Quantitative finance and technology

Key Responsibilities

● Assist in developing internal tools for analytics, reporting, and trade monitoring

● Help build and maintain data pipelines for processing and storage of real-time and

historical market data.

● Collaborate with the trading team to build low-latency execution algorithms and

automation tools.

● Assist with data cleaning, visualization, transformations, and ETL.

● Contribute to both frontend and backend development for internal systems.

● Help build statistical and quantitative research tools to provide insights into market

behavior and strategy performance.

● Write clean, efficient, and scalable code and participate in code reviews, design

discussions, and brainstorming sessions.

● Continuously learn about trading systems, financial instruments, and market dynamics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

● A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative

discipline.

● 0 - 1 year of experience in development and/or Quantitative domain is preferred

● Proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages (Python preferred for rapid

development).

● Understanding of basic data structures, algorithms, and software development practices.

● Eagerness to learn and take ownership of tasks with guidance.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

● Prior experience or interest in financial markets /algo trading / quantitative research.

● Familiarity with real-time systems, message queues, or low-latency architecture.

● Experience with NumPy, Pandas, Plotly/Dash, FastAPI, Flask, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.

problem-solving are strong without relying on AI assistance.
