Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure solutions that align with our business objectives. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments. Your expertise will drive the modernization and efficiency of our cloud operations, while also mentoring engineering teams and promoting best practices in DevOps and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure cloud architecture on platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters for high availability and resilient containerized applications.
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure deployment, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance with security policies.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, software engineering, and security teams to streamline deployment pipelines and cloud operations.
  • Lead the creation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
  • Monitor and manage cloud resources for cost efficiency, scalability, and system health.
  • Implement and enforce cloud security best practices and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and assess their relevance and potential value to the organization.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of cloud architectures, processes, and configurations.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to engineering teams in cloud and DevOps practices.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth experience with Azure cloud services, especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Proficiency in cloud platform services (compute, storage, networking).
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and implementation.
  • Experience in CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor and Prometheus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development and cloud engineering, with a focus on Azure.
  • Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Good to have exposure to AWS, GitLab DevOps, and AZ-305 certification.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Professional certifications in Azure or other cloud technologies are a plus.
