Our solutions replace legacy secure access systems by addressing key technical gaps in traditional VPN-like architectures.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Principal Engineer at Lumeus.ai. The Principal Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing secure access solutions, leading engineering teams, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. Day-to-day tasks include writing high-quality code, conducting code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement leading-edge security protocols. The Principal Engineer will also be expected to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the company's strategic direction.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in software engineering roles, including substantial Go and microservices experience.
  • Deep experience with Kubernetes and deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Strong systems fundamentals (distributed systems, networking, reliability, performance).
  • Fluency in English and excellent written design communication.
  • Master's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

  • Graph technologies (Graph databases, GraphQL).
  • NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB), Elasticsearch, and Graph databases.
  • Experience with IDE Development (VSCode, Cursor, Windsurf etc)
  • Experience with open-source Teleport
