Finishing Engineer, Finishing Supervisor

The Building Finishing Engineer & Supervisor oversees all finishing works in a construction project (residential, commercial, industrial) to ensure high quality, timely delivery, cost efficiency, safety, and compliance with design & regulatory standards.Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Coordination

• Interpret architectural & structural drawings, specifications, method statements for finishing works (plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, false ceilings, joinery, glazing, cladding, faade, etc.). Expertia+2Atkins Realis Careers+2
• Prepare work plans/schedules for finishing activities. Ensure coordination with other trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) so their work doesnt conflict. Atkins Realis Careers+2Apna+2
• Calculate/estimate material quantities & labour needed. Track resource availability (materials, labour & equipment) to avoid delays. Apna+1Execution & Supervision
• Supervise daytoday finishing works on site: plastering, flooring, tiling (both floor & walldado), painting, door & window frames, false ceilings, cladding, faades etc. Apna+2Atkins Realis Careers+2

• Identify defects, snags; maintain snag lists; ensure desnagging before handover. Expertia+1
• Quality Control & Compliance
• Conduct inspections at various stages (preparation, execution, finishing) to ensure adherence to quality & safety standards. Atkins Realis Careers+2Apna+2
• Ensure compliance with codes / regulations, clients specifications, and test procedures (where applicable). Atkins Realis Careers

• Cost & Time Management

  Team & Contractor Management

  Safety & Site Management
• Ensure site safety practices are followed; use of PPE; safeguarding of finishes & materials.
