Location: Mumbai - BKC

Experience: 2 - 5 Years

Role Overview:

This role involves end-to-end operational management of Alternative Investment Funds (AIF), including client onboarding, fund flow tracking, investor servicing, reporting, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely execution of transactions, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with custodians and fund accountants, and managing investor communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Investor Onboarding & Documentation:

  2. Manage complete onboarding process from application receipt to capital call execution.

  3. Verify investor KYC, FATCA, and other regulatory documentation as per SEBI norms.

  4. Coordinate with internal teams, legal, RMs, and fund administrators for smooth onboarding.

  5. Fund Flow Management:

  6. Track capital calls and fund receipts from investors.

  7. Monitor deployment of funds and maintain records of drawdowns and distributions.

  8. Coordinate with investment and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate fund movements.

  9. Reconciliation & Record Keeping:

  10. Perform bank and custodian account reconciliations.

  11. Liaise with fund accountants and custodians for NAV calculation, expense booking, and reconciliation of transactions.

  12. Ensure proper documentation and audit trails are maintained for all investor and fund-related transactions.

  13. Investor Servicing & Communication:

  14. Manage investor queries, transaction confirmations, and reports (Capital Account Statements, SOAs, etc.).

  15. Share timely updates on fund performance, drawdowns, and distributions.

  16. Handle communication during capital calls, distributions, and audit processes.

  17. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:

  18. Ensure all operational activities adhere to SEBI AIF Regulations and internal compliance policies.

  19. Coordinate for regulatory filings (PMLA, FATCA, SEBI reports, etc.) as required.

  20. Support audits, internal controls, and compliance checks.

  21. MIS & Internal Reporting:

  22. Maintain MIS related to onboarding status, fund flows, capital commitments, and investor transactions.

  23. Share regular updates with stakeholders and management teams.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of AIF structures, SEBI regulations, and operational processes.
  • Knowledge of fund accounting, custody operations, and investment lifecycle.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MIS, and operational systems.
  • Good communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • 25 years of experience in AIF, PMS, Capital Markets, or Fund Operations.
  • Prior experience with fund accounting, custody, or investor onboarding preferred.
