BOMBAY MERCANTILE CO-OPERATIVE BANK LTD is hiring for Credit Officers.
Experience: 5+ years in Scheduled Commercial Banks with relevant experience in credit appraisal, loan assement and portfolio Monitoring, structing Loan etc.
Age: 30 to 45 Years
Qualification: Graduation in any discipline
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with the bank's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Assessment, sanctioning, and monitoring of all credit proposals and advances to ensure quality and compliance.
- Manage the credit portfolio to minimize non-performing assets (NPAs) and ensure timely recovery.
- Lead the credit appraisal team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate with other departments (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Recovery) to ensure effective credit risk management.
- Ensure that all credit disbursements are adequately documented and supported by necessary approvals.
- Analyze market trends, customer creditworthiness, and economic factors impacting credit risk.
- Prepare and present credit reports, portfolio analysis, and risk assessment to senior management and the Board.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation in credit processes.
- Drive credit growth by identifying new business opportunities while maintaining asset quality.
- Handle escalations and resolve credit-related issues promptly.
