As a Senior Cloud Technology Sales Specialist at NTT DATA, you will play a key role in driving our cloud technology solutions and significantly impacting our clients' digital transformation journeys. Your primary focus will be to pursue and secure qualified leads, working closely with our Client Management team and other internal partners to present tailored solutions that address client needs. As a Sales Specialist, you are also responsible for generating your own pipeline and opportunities within your assigned client base.
You will engage directly with clients at various levels, leveraging your cloud technology expertise to create and deliver compelling value propositions. Your role involves a mix of proactive selling and supporting the sales process, collaborating with pre-sales architects to design the best solutions for our clients. Building and nurturing strong stakeholder relationships, both with new and existing clients, will be crucial as you explore new business opportunities and territories.
A significant portion of your time will be spent developing an in-depth understanding of client business goals and articulating solutions that meet their specific requirements. You'll prepare and conduct client workshops, deliver engaging presentations, and build professional relationships within assigned accounts. Your goal will be to secure deals that align with our sales strategies and meet assigned quotas and targets.
You'll stay informed about the competitive landscape and market trends, using this knowledge to enhance our solutions and maintain a competitive edge. Collaborating with relevant technology vendors, you'll ensure a deep understanding of their offerings and how they integrate with our own solutions. Your role also involves identifying new sales opportunities within accounts and driving them to closure with the support of our sales teams.
Applying sales methodologies and tools, such as opportunity and account plans, will help you drive the sales process effectively. By developing and executing your own sales strategy, you'll contribute to the wider territory sales plan and work towards achieving your sales targets. Your advanced business acumen and negotiation abilities will be key in crafting solutions beneficial to both customers and NTT DATA.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- Extensive sales experience in a technology or services environment.
- Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales and financial targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the cloud technology domain and a strong client-centric approach.
- Advanced proficiency in delivering engaging sales presentations and team selling approaches.
- Awareness of the competitive landscape and the ability to apply successful sales strategies.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to craft solutions beneficial to all stakeholders.
- Excellent business acumen and the ability to maintain accurate sales forecasts and close plans.
- Experience in developing meaningful customer relationships up to senior leadership levels.
- Flexibility to adapt to new missions or urgent deadlines quickly.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in information technology/systems, sales, or a related field.
- Industry/Vendor sales certifications required.
