Job Summary

The Project Engineer – Electrical is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing electrical installation and erection works at project sites. The role involves coordinating with contractors, ensuring compliance with design specifications, monitoring progress, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review electrical drawings (single-line diagrams, wiring layouts, load schedules) and ensure correct implementation at the site.
  • Supervise installation and erection of electrical systems such as panels, cabling, transformers, switchgear, motors, earthing systems, lighting, and related equipment.
  • Plan daily site activities, allocate work to technicians/contractors, and monitor progress to meet project timelines.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Prepare material requisitions, coordinate deliveries, and maintain stock records of electrical materials and tools.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Perform testing & commissioning of electrical systems and troubleshoot problems during installation.
  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, site documentation, and handover documents.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards (IEC/IS), and company procedures.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, instrumentation) to maintain smooth workflow on site.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and site installation practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with testing & commissioning tools.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Good communication and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and statutory regulations.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹35,000.00 per month
