1.0   Job Summary

Working within a team of other engineers, the Proposal Engineer is responsible for covering all elements of Proposals for the business, both dry filtration and wet filtration, including, but not necessarily limited to, spare parts, service, upgrade solutions and QAD ERP system entries.

The Proposal Engineer will work towards successful completion of quote preparation in a manner that fulfils contractual and technical requirements, meets or exceeds customer expectations, while achieving Cleanova target margins and promoting Cleanova's reputation in the marketplace.

2.0    Principle Duties and Responsibilities

§ Carry out estimation and quote preparation based on RFQ / Tender from the customer.

§ Prepare technical datasheets and technical proposal

§ Coordinate with the global team / external supplier to get an offer and complete the quote preparation

§ Create customer details in QAD ERP system, in line with company requirements and guidelines.

§ Engage directly with Operations and Engineering team for technical clarifications

§ Coordinate with Sales Managers and prioritize the quote submission

§ Maintain proposal records and product documentation.

§ Arrange a kick-off meeting and hand over the order to the order execution team.

§ Update the Proposal status and communicate with the Sales Managers at regular intervals

4.0   Education and Experience

Required Education / Experience:

· Typically requires a higher education degree in Mechanical Engineering/Textile Engineering.

· years of Proposal management

· Good knowledge of Logistics functions and Incoterms.

· Experience in the Engineering of Bag house and Filter Press products

· Good knowledge of Fabric media for both dry filtration and wet filtration applications.

· Proposal experience in Cement plant, Power plant and Mining plant equipment is added advantage

· Experience and understanding of Bag house, bags, cages and Filter Press products

· Good knowledge of MS Windows and Microsoft Office.

· Experience in the use of QAD ERP system

5.0   Physical Demands
