Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Civil Draftsman to join our dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, and blueprints for civil engineering and construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong drafting skills, a good understanding of civil engineering concepts, and the ability to work closely with engineers and architects to deliver high-quality outputs.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Drafting & Design

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans, and blueprints for civil construction projects.
  • Create layouts, sections, and elevations using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
  • Develop drawings based on specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions from engineers/architects.

2. Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with civil engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements.
  • Incorporate feedback and revisions into drawings promptly.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure design consistency and alignment with project objectives.

3. Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure all drawings adhere to project specifications, industry codes, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accuracy and clarity in all drafted documents.
  • Keep updated with relevant design standards, codes, and regulations.

4. Documentation & Records Management

  • Maintain an organized library of drawings, revisions, and related documents.
  • Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
  • Track and update revisions to ensure the latest versions are available for project execution.

5. Technical Support

  • Provide technical drafting support to site teams during project execution.
  • Assist in developing new design features, details, and solutions for project challenges.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent drafting software.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction drawings, detailing, and drafting standards.
  • Good understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
