About the Role

We are a growing hospitality company managing multiple Airbnb listings and hotel-style properties.

We are looking for a CMA-qualified accountant who can go beyond bookkeeping and own cost control, unit economics, and profitability reporting across properties.

This is a business-facing role, not just a compliance role.

Key Responsibilities1. Costing & Unit Economics

  • Create cost centres for each apartment / property / hotel
  • Track cost per room, per night, per booking
  • Analyse housekeeping, maintenance, utilities, OTA commissions, staffing costs

  • Identify cost leakages and efficiency opportunities

  • Management Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly MIS including:

  • Revenue vs cost by property
  • Gross margin & EBITDA
  • Occupancy vs profitability analysis
  • Provide property-wise P&L

  • Actuals vs budget variance analysis

  • Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Create monthly and quarterly budgets

  • Forecast cash flows

  • Break-even analysis for new properties or expansions

  • Decision Support

  • Help management answer questions such as:

  • Which properties are underperforming and why?
  • Is it better to raise prices or reduce costs?
  • Impact of OTA commissions vs direct bookings

  • Support pricing, long-stay vs short-stay strategy, and expansion decisions

  • Accounting Structure & Controls

  • Design accounting flow with clearly defined cost heads

  • Define asset classification and depreciation policies

  • Ensure clean data for management review

  • Compliance Coordination (Secondary)

  • Work with existing accountant/CA on:

  • GST, TDS, income tax
  • Ensure management accounting aligns with statutory accounts

Tools & Systems

  • Experience with Tally / Zoho Books / similar
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • Experience handling multiple cost centres
  • Familiarity with hospitality PMS / OTA data is a plus

Required Qualifications

  • CMA (Cost & Management Accountant) – Qualified
  • 3+ years experience in management accounting / costing
  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, or multi-unit businesses preferred

What We Are NOT Looking For

  • Pure data entry or compliance-only accountants
  • Candidates who cannot explain numbers in simple business language

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40, ₹70,000.00 per month
