Reporting to the Manger, this role will be based in Chevron's office in Bengaluru.The Flow Assurance Systems Engineer is part of the Discipline Engineering team within the Chevron ENGINE.  This role is responsible for Flow Assurance work tasks in capital projects and base business optimization support. The successful candidate will provide specific deliverables related to flow assurance optimization and troubleshooting for base business. The successful candidate will assist with the execution of Flow Assurance work scopes under the direction of a Senior Flow Assurance Systems Engineer, typically during conceptual engineering, front-end engineering design, and detailed engineering studies. The Flow Assurance Systems Engineer may support flow assurance aspects of project pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and transition to normal operations.Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.Key responsibilitiesTechnical Delivery: Deliver flow assurance technical studies under the direction of a senior flow assurance systems engineerStakeholder Management: Engage with various stakeholders to consolidate work processes from multiple locations into a centralized systemStandardization and Optimization: Use relationships and alignment skills to standardize and optimize work products and processesCollaboration: Work closely with different functions within TPE and Base BusinessMentoring: Provide defined mentoring scope for junior Flow Assurance engineersThe position will work in close collaboration with a team of Flow Assurance engineers in the Technology, Projects and Execution in Houston and with Engineers at Chevron Operated facilities. About youWe know our greatest resource is the ingenuity, creativity and innovation of our people. Experience in Process Engineering with exposure to Flow Assurance could be considered.Experience on major capital project through various phases, and/or troubleshooting and process monitoring of existing operationsTechnical Skills: Demonstrated capacity and capability to develop technical depth in thermodynamics, transport phenomena, and chemistryDemonstrated capability on Flow Assurance modelling tools, such as OLGA, Pipephase/Pipesim, PVT sim, MultiflashPreferred qualifications:Chemical Engineering degreeProfessional Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to engage others and build relationshipsSelection criteria:  Technical Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated competency in thermodynamics, transport phenomena, and chemistry
  • Demonstrated capability in analytical problem solving able to solve complex problems; able scrutinize and consolidate information in a thoughtful, discerning way; and ability to identify and evaluate complex problems
  • Demonstrated capability in Flow Assurance modelling tools
  • Ability to integrate process data from multiple systems of record
