We are seeking a highly organized and impact-driven Data Steward / Data Program Manager to lead data governance, quality, and lifecycle management initiatives across our Credit Risk, Lending, and Customer Data domains in Retail Banking. This high-visibility Individual Contributor role ensures that business-critical data powering risk models, loan decisions, and regulatory reporting is accurate, consistent, and trusted. The ideal candidate combines data management expertise with strong stakeholder and program management skills, ensuring the bank's data ecosystem remains governed, high-quality, and analytics ready.

Job Responsibilities:

• Own data governance and quality
  across Credit Risk, Loan, and Customer Data domains — ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with regulatory and internal standards.

• Define and enforce data policies, standards, and lineage
  to support credit risk modeling, portfolio analytics, and regulatory reporting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  (Data Engineers, Risk Analysts, Product Managers, and Technology teams) across Chennai, Manila, and Singapore to design and implement robust data governance and quality.

• Create and regularly update the data dictionaries
  and metadata
  repositories for the tables primarily used by the Risk, Collection, Marketing, Growth, Upsell and Data Science teams.

• Monitor and report data KPIs
  through dashboards (Power BI / SQL / Python), providing transparency into data health and usage across the organization.

• Be resourceful and industry-connected
  to identify and evaluate alternate data sources enhancing Credit Risk Models, Income Estimation, and KYC processes; report insights quarterly to the CDO.

• Develop and document data
  lineage, ER diagrams, and feature stores with standardized schemas and metadata to ensure transparent, reusable, and well-governed data assets across customer and loan journeys, supporting cross-team analytics and Tendo–Tonik integration."

• Data Sourcing & Validation from external vendor portals (Telcos, Public Databases) from
  external vendor portals to support sourcing decisions.

• Vendor Collaboration & Data Partnerships:
  Establish and nurture data-sharing agreements with key vendors; define data requirements, formats, and SLAs.

• Process Improvement & Governance
  : Define and implement data-driven sourcing playbooks, governance policies, and standard operating procedures

• Identify bottlenecks
  in data flow and procurement processes; implement automations and process improvements.

• Present insights and recommendations
  to executives and cross-functional teams clearly and concisely.

• Translate business needs into data requirements
  ; bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience and Qualification:

• Bachelor's or master's Degree in computer science/ Statistics/ Data Science/ Engineering

• 4+ years Relevant experience in
  data management, data governance, or data analytics
  within
  banking/financial services
  , preferably in
  Credit Risk, Loan Operations, or Regulatory Reporting
  .

• Proficiency in
  SQL, Python, and Power BI
  ; experience with
  data lineage, feature stores, and metadata management
  ,
  Exceptional Presentation Skills

• Domain Knowledge:
  Understanding of
  credit risk modeling (PD, LGD, EAD), Basel/IFRS9 frameworks, KYC, and lending processes
  .
