Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement
    data governance frameworks
    aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the deployment and configuration of
    Microsoft Purview
    for:
  • Dataset registration
    and classification
  • Data lineage tracking
  • Logical data mapping
    across systems
  • Data domain modeling
    and stewardship
  • Integrate
    Collibra
    with Azure services to enable enterprise-wide metadata management and policy enforcement.
  • Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and business units to define
    data policies
    , standards, and roles.
  • Develop and maintain
    data dictionaries
    ,
    business glossaries
    , and
    metadata repositories
    .
  • Support
    data quality initiatives
    and ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulations.
  • Facilitate
    data domain ownership
    and stewardship processes across business units.
  • Provide training and enablement for stakeholders on governance tools and processes.
  • Work closely with data architects, engineers, and BI teams to ensure governance is embedded in data pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in
    data governance
    ,
    data management roles
    .
  • Strong expertise in
    Microsoft Azure Data Services
    (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL).
  • Proven experience with
    Microsoft Purview
    – setup, configuration, and integration.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Collibra
    – workflows, policies, and metadata management.
  • Experience in
    dataset registration

  • Familiarity with
    data privacy regulations
