Role Summary

The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching, clinical supervision, research, and providing administrative support within the Nursing program at Acharya College of Nursing. The role requires a dedicated professional with a strong academic background and practical clinical experience to train the next generation of competent nursing professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Teaching & Academics

  2. Instruction: Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical instruction for B.Sc. (Nursing) and M.Sc. (Nursing) students in assigned subjects.

  3. Curriculum Development: Assist in the planning, organization, and evaluation of the curriculum and teaching programs in accordance with the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and university guidelines.
  4. Assessment: Prepare, administer, and grade examinations, assignments, and practical assessments to evaluate student learning and progression.

  5. Clinical Supervision: Supervise students during their clinical postings in affiliated hospitals/healthcare settings, ensuring they achieve required clinical competencies and standards of patient care.

  6. Research & Professional Development

  7. Research Engagement: Engage in research activities, including supervising student research projects and pursuing personal research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.

  8. Seminars/Workshops: Participate in and present at professional conferences, seminars, workshops, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) to stay updated on advancements in nursing practice and education.

  9. Institutional & Administrative Duties

  10. Mentorship: Mentor and guide students on academic, professional, and personal matters.

  11. Accreditation Support: Actively participate in institutional and departmental activities related to NAAC, INC, and other accreditation processes.
  12. Administrative Tasks: Undertake administrative duties as assigned by the HOD or Principal, such as committee work, student counseling, and departmental coordination.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Requirement Essential Education M.Sc. (Nursing) is mandatory.

Pre-Requisite EducationB.Sc. (Nursing) (Basic or Post-Basic).

Experience :- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Faculty/Tutor/Clinical Instructor in a recognized Nursing College/Institution.

Preferred QualificationPh.D. in Nursing or enrollment in a Ph.D. program is highly preferred.

Skills :- Excellent communication (English is mandatory), interpersonal, and pedagogical skills. Strong clinical knowledge and practical demonstration ability.
