SUMMARY

Job Title: Service advisor

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer Interaction & Service Booking

  2. Greet customers and schedule service appointments.

  3. Understand customer concerns and vehicle issues.
  4. Explain service requirements, repair options, and costs.

  5. Job Card Preparation & Coordination

  6. Prepare accurate job cards/work orders.

  7. Communicate repair/maintenance needs to workshop technicians.
  8. Ensure correct allocation of jobs to mechanics.

  9. Advising & Upselling

  10. Recommend additional services or preventive maintenance.

  11. Upsell value-added services, accessories, and extended warranties.

  12. Workshop Communication

  13. Act as a bridge between the customer and workshop team.

  14. Track job progress and keep customers informed.
  15. Ensure timely completion of service/repair.

  16. Cost Estimation & Approval

  17. Provide accurate repair estimates.

  18. Obtain customer approval before carrying out additional work.

  19. Quality Check & Vehicle Delivery

  20. Inspect serviced vehicles before handover.

  21. Explain work done, costs, and warranty coverage to the customer.
  22. Ensure smooth and timely delivery of vehicles.

  23. Customer Relationship Management

  24. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues.

  25. Follow up with customers post-service for feedback.
  26. Maintain long-term relationships to build loyalty.

  27. Documentation & Compliance

  28. Maintain service records and job documentation.

  29. Ensure compliance with manufacturer and company standards.

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Technical knowledge of automobiles.
  • Problem - solving & conflict resolution skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Sales and upselling ability.
  • Time management & multitasking.

Requirements

Exp Required- Minimum 1.5 years as a Service Advisor
