Job Description: Manufacturing Operations Manager – Signage Industry

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead the setup and operations of our upcoming signage manufacturing facility. The role involves planning and executing the entire manufacturing setup — including layout design, machine installation, vendor coordination, and team building — followed by smooth management of daily production, quality, and timelines. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in signage, fabrication, or allied industries, and be capable of establishing a production system that delivers high-quality custom signage, lighting, and display solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Manufacturing Setup & Facility Establishment

2. Lead the complete setup of the signage manufacturing facility — including layout planning, machinery selection, installation, and commissioning.

3. Coordinate with architects, contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal teams for timely execution.
4. Set up workstations for metal fabrication, acrylic processing, vinyl printing, painting, and assembly areas.
5. Define production flow and optimize shop floor layout for efficiency and safety.

6. Ensure factory compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental norms (Factory Act, MPCB, etc.).

7. 1. Production & Operations Management

8. Oversee daily production operations including fabrication, painting, printing, assembly, and dispatch.

9. Implement production schedules based on project timelines and client requirements.
10. Monitor output, resource utilization, material consumption, and wastage control.
11. Ensure preventive maintenance of machines like CNC routers, laser cutters, channel letter benders, printers, and paint booths.

12. Coordinate closely with design, procurement, and installation teams for seamless workflow.

13. 1. Process Development & Quality Control

14. Develop SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards for each production process.

15. Implement quality checks at every stage to ensure precision and finish.
16. Introduce lean manufacturing and 5S systems for workplace organization and efficiency.

17. Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce rework and improve turnaround time.

18. 1. Team Leadership & Training

19. Recruit, train, and manage supervisors, fabricators, technicians, and helpers across departments.

20. Define KPIs and performance standards for production and support teams.

21. Build a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to operational discipline on the shop floor.

22. 1. Vendor & Facility Management

23. Manage relationships with equipment suppliers, maintenance vendors, and raw material partners.

24. Oversee facility management — utilities, housekeeping, waste management, and AMC coordination.
25. Support the procurement team with vendor evaluation, negotiation, and timely material availability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering, or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3–5 years in signage or fabrication industry.
• Hands-on experience in factory setup, machinery commissioning, and production management.
• Strong knowledge of metal, acrylic, and vinyl fabrication processes, as well as LED and electrical integration.
• Experience working with machinery such as CNC routers, laser cutters, printers, and bending machines.
• Familiarity with ERP/production tracking systems (Zoho, SAP, etc.) preferred.

Pay: ₹500, ₹1,000,000.00 per year
