We're seeking a skilled Mid-Level Software Engineer with hands-on experience in Angular and a proficiency in test automation. You aim to build robust, maintainable front-end applications and apply structured testing strategies to ensure software quality and reliability. This role is based in our Kolkata office, operating in a hybrid working model. You'll be part of a globally distributed team spanning Europe, India, and the US.

Responsibilities:

• Work on a team to develop and enhance a cloud-native web application that uses AI to turn unstructured documents into structured data
• Develop code based on functional specifications and thorough understanding of product code; identify refactoring opportunities and architectural improvements
• Write and execute tests (automated and manual) to verify that the code meets technical specifications and functions as intended, before submitting it for review
• Contribute to standards and processes as applicable to software development methodology including planning, work estimation, solution demos and reviews
• Complete logic and algorithm design in alignment with established standards
• Perform moderately complex peer code reviews
• Read software requirements and understand impact on design specifications
• Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline, including test automation, performance, and security
• Understand business, application, and coding tasks to make data-driven recommendations for internal process improvements and product documentation
• Provide troubleshooting support for moderately complex production issues or software code issues to ensure the stability of the application
• Stay up to date with latest technology changes and be ready to leverage the latest features
• Follow security best practices in all aspects of work
• Collaborate with product owners and software architects as needed to refine functional and technical aspects of the software
• Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to Hyland's Information Systems Security Policy

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Experience with Angular, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript (knowledge of backend languages such as C# is a plus)
• Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Experience working in Windows/Linux development environments with open-source tools/platforms
• Experience with build environments and continuous delivery pipelines
• Experience with test automation and continuous integration tools
• Experience leveraging AI assistants to speed up development
• Knowledge of accessibility is a plus
• Knowledge of software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with professionalism and discretion
• Good collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated, able to manage projects to completion with oversight
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn
• Passionate, competitive, and intellectually curious
• Quick learner with strong technology curiosity and aptitude

• Up to 10% travel time required
