Job Purpose:

To manage the complete tendering process, including identifying opportunities, preparing and submitting bids, and ensuring compliance with GeM (Government e-Marketplace) and other e-procurement portals, in order to support the company's business development and revenue objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and monitor relevant tenders through GEM portal, e-procurement portals, and government websites.
  • Register, update, and maintain company details, product listings, and documentation on the GEM portal.
  • Review tender documents, terms, and conditions and ensure all requirements are met before submission.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (technical, finance, purchase, legal, etc.) for gathering tender inputs and approvals.
  • Prepare and compile technical and commercial bids as per tender specifications.
  • Ensure timely submission of tenders, EMDs, and related documents through online/offline modes.
  • Handle tender queries, clarifications, and pre-bid meetings with clients and government authorities.
  • Maintain a database of submitted tenders, bid outcomes, and renewal schedules.
  • Follow up on bid results and coordinate for contract award and order processing.
  • Ensure full compliance with GEM guidelines, documentation standards, and company policies.
  • Prepare MIS reports and summaries for management review.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Government e-Marketplace (GEM) and e-tendering processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, GEM Portal, and e-procurement systems.
  • Good understanding of tender documentation, commercial terms, and contract requirements.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Graduate / Diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in tendering and GEM operations.
  • Experience in marine, engineering, or government supply sectors preferred.
