Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Body and Trim Design and Development Engineer to join our Automotive Product Design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating exterior and interior trim components, ensuring high quality, manufacturability, and aesthetic appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop body and trim components (exterior and interior) from concept to production.
  • Create 3D models and detailed drawings using CATIA V5.
  • Work on surface modelling, ensuring design feasibility and manufacturing compatibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support prototype development, testing, and validation.
  • Involve in mould design, vacuum forming, injection moulding, and jig and fixture design and manufacturing processes.
  • Support continuous improvement in design efficiency, quality, and cost optimization.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to meet project goals and timelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in CATIA V5 is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of surface modelling, vacuum forming, injection moulding, and mould manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of jig and fixture design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible with work hours and capable of meeting project deadlines without constraints.
  • Proven ability in designing and production support.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering or a related field.
