We are hiring for a non-political, independent survey project on behalf of Digitech Media Private Limited (Oneindia). We are seeking dedicated, impartial On-Ground Reporters to join our team. The project aims to conduct extensive election surveys across West Bengal.

Position Details

  • Role: On-Ground Reporter
  • Location: All over West Bengal
  • Employment Type: Project-based, full-time
  • Project Duration: 2 months
  • Salary: 15,000 per month
  • Travel Allowance: Separate travel allowance will be provided based on daily travel
  • Working Days: 6 days a week (on-field work)

Job Responsibilities

As an On-Ground Reporter, you'll be the face of this project for Oneindia. Your primary responsibility is to gather on-the-ground insights and conduct unbiased surveys within your assigned constituency. This involves:

  • On-the-Ground Reporting: Visiting assigned areas within the constituency to conduct surveys and collect real-time information for Oneindia's project.
  • Data Collection: Accurately collecting data using provided forms, tablets, or mobile applications.
  • Impartiality: Ensuring all questions are asked in a neutral and unbiased manner, without influencing respondents' answers.
  • Target Completion: Meeting daily and weekly survey targets to ensure the project timeline is met.
  • Travel: Traveling extensively within your assigned district to cover various localities.
  • Reporting: Submitting accurate and timely reports to your supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Minimum 12th pass. A bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in field surveys, data collection, or on-the-ground research is a strong advantage.
  • Local Knowledge: Must have excellent knowledge of the assigned district's geography, language, and culture.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Bengali and Hindi. Knowledge of English is a plus.
  • Impartiality: Ability to maintain strict neutrality and professionalism at all times.
  • Physical Fitness: Must be physically able to handle extensive daily travel and walking.
  • Equipment: Owning a smartphone is mandatory.
