Testing Engineer / QC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases (manual or automated)
  • Identify, log, and track bugs and issues using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
  • Conduct regression, functional, integration, and system testing
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve defects
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Write and maintain test documentation and reports
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry quality standards
  • Work with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit) if applicable
  • Validate UI/UX consistency across devices and browsers
  • Support performance/load testing (e.g., JMeter) as needed

Technical Skills:

  • Testing Tools:

  • Manual Testing: TestRail, Zephyr, TestLink, etc.

  • Bug Tracking: JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis

  • API Testing:

  • Postman, Swagger, SoapUI

  • Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs

  • Performance Testing:

  • JMeter, LoadRunner (optional but valuable)

  • CI/CD Tools:

  • Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps

  • Version Control:

  • Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket

  • Database Skills:

  • Writing basic to advanced SQL queries

  • Understanding of RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

  • Scripting/Programming (for Automation roles):

  • Python, Java, JavaScript, or Bash scripting, Dot.Net with MVC

  • Ability to debug and maintain automation scripts

  • Automation Testing (if applicable):

  • Selenium WebDriver (Java/Python/JavaScript)

  • Cypress, Playwright, Appium (for mobile)Role & responsibilities
