Job Summary:

The Production Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all manufacturing and assembly operations related to car parking systems. The role requires strong technical knowledge in mechanical fabrication, welding, assembly processes, and production planning to ensure timely project execution with optimum quality and cost efficiency. The candidate will also play a key role in coordinating with cross-functional teams including design, purchase, quality, and installation to achieve production targets and maintain smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution:

  • Prepare and monitor daily and weekly production schedules as per project timelines.
  • Allocate manpower and machinery resources efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Coordinate with the design and purchase teams for timely availability of drawings and materials.
  • Ensure adherence to production plans and resolve any bottlenecks or delays.

2. Fabrication & Assembly Supervision:

  • Oversee fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly of mechanical components.
  • Ensure dimensional accuracy, alignment, and finishing of structures as per approved drawings.
  • Supervise and guide technicians and workers on shop floor operations and best practices.
  • Ensure effective utilization of tools, equipment, and production space.

3. Quality & Safety Compliance:

  • Implement and monitor in-process and final quality checks to maintain product standards.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper usage of PPE by all workers.
  • Identify process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, etc.).

4. Coordination & Documentation:

  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and installation teams for technical clarifications.
  • Maintain production records, daily reports, and material consumption details.
  • Track material movement, work orders, and project-wise progress.
  • Support installation and commissioning teams at client sites when required.

5. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization:

  • Analyze production data to identify areas for efficiency improvement.
  • Suggest modifications in process flow, layout, or resource utilization to reduce waste and cost.
  • Participate in regular production review meetings and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in fabrication, assembly, or production (preferably in automated car parking systems, elevators, or material handling equipment).
  • Hands-on experience in welding processes, sheet metal fabrication, assembly lines, and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiar with ERP systems, MS Excel, and production documentation.
  • Strong communication, team coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20, ₹35,000.00 per month
