Role & responsibilities

  1. Preventive Maintenance (PM):

  2. Schedule and perform regular inspections and servicing of machinery.

  3. Replace worn-out parts before breakdowns occur.

  4. Corrective/Breakdown Maintenance:

  5. Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures promptly.

  6. Analyze root causes of breakdowns to prevent recurrence.

  7. Predictive Maintenance:

  8. Use data, sensors, and condition monitoring to predict equipment failure.

  9. Apply techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, or oil analysis.

  10. Maintenance Planning & Scheduling:

  11. Develop maintenance plans and logs.

  12. Coordinate maintenance activities to avoid production interruptions.

  13. Spare Parts Management:

  14. Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts and tools.

  15. Ensure timely procurement of required materials.

  16. Equipment Installation & Commissioning:

  17. Install new machines and ensure proper calibration and performance.

  18. Train operators on basic equipment handling.

  19. Documentation & Record Keeping:

  20. Maintain maintenance history, breakdown reports, and PM records.

  21. Support audits and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP).

  22. Safety & Compliance:

  23. Follow safety protocols during maintenance activities.

  24. Ensure equipment meets regulatory standards.
