Clinical & Neuroimaging Research Associate

Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated
researcher

to support neuroimaging research on neurological disorders like brain tumor, epilepsy, and traumatic brain injury as well as neuropsychiatric disorders. The ideal candidate will work closely with neuroscientists and clinicians to advance brain imaging research and perform a diverse range of work in a dynamic startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Literature review

: Conduct extensive literature review to support new avenues of the product, enhance science and technology, and understand the disorder specific neuroimaging markers and applications
- Clinical studies

: Facilitate the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of clinical studies with the end goal of clinical validation and clinician-led Papers in high impact journals.
- Data Processing:

Support processing and inferencing analysis of neuroimaging data using tools like
SPM, FSL, FreeSurfer, AFNI, MATLAB, Python

etc.
- Computational & Statistical Analysis:

Apply programming skills (Python, MATLAB, R) for data analysis, visualization, and statistical modeling, especially statistical analysis of clinical research and neuroimaging data on a group-level.
- Research & Experimentation:

Assist in development of features and algorithms (including machine-learning models) on analysis of open source data, clinical data, and experimental cases from hospitals and institutions.
- Scientific Writing & Reporting:

Contribute to research reports,  validation reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication in scientific journals.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:

Work alongside neuroscientists, neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, and engineers to integrate imaging findings into broader neuroscience and medical research.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

Master's degree with a few years of experience or PhD (entry-level) in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise:

Experience with neuroimaging techniques (MRI, fMRI, EEG) and relevant analysis software (SPM, FSL, FreeSurfer, EEGLAB).
- Programming & Data Analysis:

Basic proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or R for neuroimaging data processing.
- Attention to Detail:

Ability to manage large datasets, maintain data integrity, and ensure reproducibility of results.
- Soft Skills:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in an interdisciplinary research environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in processing and statistical methods for brain imaging data analysis.
  • Experience in machine learning applications for neuroimaging.
  • Prior work with open-access neuroimaging datasets (e.g., Human Connectome Project, UK Biobank).
  • Publications or conference presentations in neuroscience or neuroimaging.
