:
Spectrum Electrical Industries Limited is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and technically strong Project Manager / Product Design Engineer to lead the development of innovative electrical switchgear products. This hybrid role blends project leadership with hands-on product design, ensuring that our solutions meet customer expectations, manufacturing feasibility, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Design & Development

  • Design 2D/3D models and drawings using CAD tools.
  • Develop electrical products: Modular Switches, Sockets, MCBs, RCCBs, MCCBs, DBs, Metal Boxes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, benchmarking, and value engineering.
  • Collaborate on APQP, FMEA, ECN, validation testing, and packaging design.

Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional teams across design, manufacturing, procurement, and QA.
  • Define scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Track KPIs, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with vendors, QA, and manufacturing to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
  • Conduct technical audits, product surveillance, and improvement actions.
  • Manage SAP BOMs, material codes, and documentation.

Prototyping & Testing

  • Develop RPT prototypes and validate product performance.
  • Conduct functional and dimensional testing using industry-standard tools.

Documentation & Lifecycle Management

  • Maintain design specs, BOMs, manuals, and ECNs.

Support product launches and withdrawals in coordination with marketing.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering / Product Design / Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years in product design and project management (preferably in electrical switchgear).
  • Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.), SAP, and project tools.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications like PMP, PRINCE2 are a plus.
