Role & responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor daily production plans to meet output and quality targets.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Drive productivity improvements through process optimization and cycle time reduction.
  • Manage and allocate manpower effectively across shifts to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor production parameters and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality.
  • Analyze rejection trends and implement corrective and preventive measures to control rejection rates.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely servicing and repairs of machines and equipment.
  • Maintain production records, reports, and documentation as per company standards.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and housekeeping (5S) standards on the shop floor.
  • Train and develop operators and junior staff on best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Preferred candidate profile

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Plastic/Production Engineering.
  • 4-7 years of experience in injection molding production in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of injection molding processes, machines and mold setups
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting molding defects like short shots, flash, burn marks, warpage, etc.
  • Good leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in using MS Office and ERP systems for production reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to data
