Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end NPD activities for aluminium castings using GDC, HPDC, and LPDC technologies.
  • Lead new process definition from design, alloying, melting, die casting, fettling, machining, and dispatch.
  • Review customer drawings, technical requirements, and coordinate with cross functional teams.
  • Collaborate with design, tooling, process, and quality departments for APQP, PPAP, and prototyping.
  • Organize in die/tool design, casting simulation reviews, and feasibility discussions.
  • Plan and execute tool trials, pilot runs, and process validations.
  • Prepare FMEA, control plans, process flows, and work instructions.
  • Drive production planning, manpower allocation, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing, TPM, and 5S practices to boost production and reduce wastage.
  • Integrate ERP/MES tools for real-time monitoring and efficiency tracking.
  • Interact with customers during development phases, sample approvals, and audits.
  • Ensure timely completion of first piece approval and PSW submissions.
  • Drive improvements in quality, cost, and process efficiency during product industrialization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Metallurgy Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in aluminium die casting NPD GDC, HPDC, and LPDC.
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, GD&T, and expert in Aluminum Die casting.
  • Hands-on experience in die/tool development and validation.
  • Familiar with machining and quality assurance methods.
