Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Piping Fabrication and Erection Engineer located in Gujarat, India. The role involves overseeing and managing the fabrication and erection of piping systems on industrial construction sites. The responsibilities include preparing detailed fabrication and erection plans, supervising contractor activities, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, resolving on-site technical issues, overseeing testing and inspection processes, and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications. The Piping Fabrication and Erection Engineer will also be responsible for reviewing engineering drawings and ensuring their accurate execution on-site.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical expertise in piping fabrication and erection, including knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and related standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&ID diagrams, and isometric drawings.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and supervision of contractor activities.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control processes, as well as safety regulations on construction sites.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in industrial projects within cement, power, steel, or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
  • Knowledge of advanced construction technologies and site coordination is an advantage.
