Partner Engineer, Payments

You will develop scalable production-grade code across Meta's platforms in collaboration with other product engineering teams. You will get to learn and build on different tech stacks and languages. Responsibilities
Work with Payment partners to work on initiatives across the Meta family of apps to help design and integrate with them to power world class payment experiences for our customers Engage with technical teams at partners (FinTech's, Banks, Networks, etc) and payment regulators to represent the best interest of our payment users and their experience using our services Build new products and improve existing ones in collaboration with Meta product engineering teams and cross functional partners to meet business needs Build & maintain scaled capabilities required to drive product adoption & spend growth across partners to meet business needs Understand and apply knowledge of products, technologies, and business to build solutions to solve for problems at scale Design, build & Integrate end-to-end systems and launch-plan strategies Use broad range of technical and soft skills to build productive relationships with our partners, and independently resolve complex technical and business needs Use expertise and product insight to deliver high-quality project/integration/partner engagements, while influencing product roadmap to meet the business needs Guide workflow changes, and gain consensus from stakeholders while driving toward solutions Respond and maintain effective communication with industry partners and internal stakeholders Build and manage working relationships with technical counterparts. Mentor and share knowledge with peers, creating positive atmosphere amongst team Coding, code reviews and provide constructive feedback while quickly actioning feedback from code reviews conducted of your code Influence decision-making through presentation of data-centric business topics Serve as a subject matter expert within Partner Engineering and provide consultation on domain-level projects Represent Meta and our products, APIs and tools in partner meetings and industry events Participate in interviewing and onboarding of new team members Travel Requirement: up to 20% of the time

Qualifications
5+ years as a software engineer building and shipping production quality code Experience with open source languages such as PHP, Python, Android, Swift, Java, or JavaScript Frameworks Experience with shipping reliable, scalable, and efficient code, with an emphasis on long-term maintainability, in partnership with all appropriate reviewers, in manageable pieces with relevant documentation and test plans Experience in designing & architecting end-to-end systems Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree to be completed prior to joining Meta Experience in breaking down business needs into product & technical features based on the required technical investment Experience as a technical consultant to determine the right technical investment based on business needs Experience working in highly collaborative environments Client/partner-facing and/or experience communicating to an audience Experience working on multi-person code bases including open source or personal projects Understanding of relevant payment technologies in India (Eg: UPI, NetBanking, RuPay, IMPS, etc) is a plus Understanding of common payment security and compliance practices in India is a plus
