Job Summary:

The Jewellery Photographer is responsible for capturing high-quality images of jewellery pieces that highlight their craftsmanship, design, and details. This role involves handling delicate products, managing lighting and backgrounds, and ensuring the final images meet brand and e-commerce standards for print, web, and social media use.

Key Responsibilities:


• Photograph a variety of jewellery products (rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc.) for catalogues, websites, and marketing campaigns.


• Ensure accurate colour representation, clarity, and detail in all images.


• Use appropriate lighting setups, including macro photography, to capture the shine and texture of precious metals and gemstones.


• Style and compose jewellery pieces attractively, ensuring they align with brand aesthetics.


• Retouch and edit images using software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to achieve professional-quality results.


• Maintain a consistent look and feel across all jewellery imagery.


• Collaborate with the design, marketing, and e-commerce teams to meet creative briefs and deadlines.


• Manage photo equipment, props, and studio setup to ensure an efficient workflow.


• Archive and organize digital assets systematically for easy retrieval.


• Stay updated with photography trends, especially in luxury product and jewellery imaging.

Qualifications & Skills:


• Proven experience as a product photographer, preferably in jewellery or luxury goods.


• Strong knowledge of studio lighting, camera settings, and composition techniques for small products.


• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other photo-editing tools.


• Understanding of e-commerce image requirements (white background, web optimization, etc.).


• Keen attention to detail and a passion for visual aesthetics.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.


• Knowledge of 360° product photography or videography is a plus.

Education & Experience:


• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, Design, or a related field (preferred).


• 2–5 years of experience in product or jewellery photography.


• A strong portfolio showcasing jewellery or macro photography is required.

• Experience with retouching gemstones and metals to maintain realism.
