We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Analyst (with construction project management skills) to oversee and support the monitoring of construction projects across APAC and EMEA for a finance client. The ideal candidate will combine strong construction project management experience with good data analysis capabilities to support effective data driven reporting and decision making. This role requires a clear understanding of governance and reporting standards, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Capture / Validation
Collect, validate, and organize data from approved sources. Clean and structure data as required for analysis
Validate data for compliance / completeness and escalate deficiencies or inconsistencies for corrective action
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze and interpret projects data across multiple regions. Identify trends, patterns, variances and correlations in project data to provide meaningful insights
Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and governance metrics for PM vendor partners.
Prepare and deliver Management Information System (MIS) reports for senior leadership to support strategic data informed decision-making.
Collaborate with cross functional teams as required
Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities
Review and assess project documentation to identify key issues and areas requiring follow-up.
Evaluate project requirements, diagnose problems, and develop practical solutions. Oversee project schedules, flag potential risks, and collaborate with teams to develop mitigation plans.
Stakeholder Communication & Project Meetings
Coordinate and lead meetings with stakeholders, including agenda setting, note-taking, and documenting action items and decisions.
Be familiar with Client governance processes and serve as a key point of contact for project governance and planning support.
Build strong knowledge of project management methodologies to offer guidance and ensure compliance with internal standards.
Continuous Development
Propose optimization of existing reporting processes and develop new systems as needed
Be aware of and propose new technologies and techniques to evolve reporting quality, timeliness and accuracy
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 5 years' experience
Bachelor's degree in business, data Analytics, project management, or a related field.
PMP or similar recognized project management qualification would be advantageous
Experience in PMO, project management and data analytics, preferably in international or cross-regional contexts
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiar with PowerPoint and MS Project.
Proficiency with other industry standard tools for the capture, analysis and visualization of data (eg: SQL, Power BI, Tableau etc.) is desirable
Detail orientated to accurately handle data, maintain document consistency, and ensuring overall accuracy of tasks.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to senior leaders.
Experience with PMO governance, reporting frameworks, and stakeholder engagement.
Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong time management and ability to multitask - prioritizing tasks, manage deadlines for reporting, and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
Critical thinker who can identify patterns and anomalies in data
Collaborative team player who can work effectively across departments and locations
Ability to collaborate with individuals from varied backgrounds and locations, to facilitate effective cross-cultural communication across Asia
