Job Description: Head – Government Policy, Subsidy & Industrial Development Advisory

Location: Delhi (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-time

Reporting To: Managing Partners, YKG Corp

About The Role
We are looking for a highly experienced and well-connected professional who can help us leverage government policies, subsidies, and industrial development schemes for both internal projects and client advisory. This individual will play a key role in guiding strategic investments in sectors such as renewable energy, manufacturing, and other high-potential industries where government incentives are strong.

The role demands in-depth policy expertise, strong industry networks, and an ability to translate government schemes into actionable business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Intelligence & Tracking

  • Continuously track and analyze Central & State government policies, industrial schemes, subsidies, and incentives across key sectors (renewables, manufacturing, infrastructure, exports, MSME, etc.).
  • Prepare strategic reports & briefs on upcoming policies and opportunities for both YKG clients and internal industrial projects.

Advisory & Strategy

  • Advise clients on which industries to expand into and how to maximize benefits from policy-driven opportunities.
  • Provide investment feasibility insights based on subsidies, tax breaks, and PLI schemes.
  • Support internal group companies in setting up new ventures in renewable energy and other priority sectors.

Government & Industry Liaison

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ministries, government departments, chambers of commerce, and industry associations.
  • Act as the firm's representative in policy discussions, trade fairs, and industrial forums.
  • Facilitate approvals, applications, and compliance for subsidies and incentive schemes.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Establish YKG's Government Incentives & Policy Advisory desk.
  • Lead internal knowledge sessions and train teams on new policies and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with YKG's Tax, Audit, and Advisory teams to integrate policy insights into client solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: Postgraduate in Public Policy / Economics / Business Administration / Law (preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years in government liaison, policy consulting, industrial development, or economic advisory.
  • Proven track record of navigating government schemes (PLI, SEZ, renewable incentives, FDI policies, trade/export benefits, MSME schemes, etc.).
  • Strong network with ministries, chambers, and industrial bodies.
  • Ability to bridge policy and business strategy with clear actionable roadmaps.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
