Role Overview

The MES & ERP Lead will be responsible for implementing, integrating, and sustaining Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions to support the companys production and business operations.

This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation on the shop floor and ensuring seamless data flow between manufacturing, supply chain, and corporate systems.

The incumbent will act as a key link between IT, production, quality, and business functions, ensuring the systems are efficient, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

MES Implementation & Management

  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of the MES platform to ensure accurate real-time production monitoring and control.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to map and digitize shop-floor processes.
  • Develop and maintain MES master data, workflows, dashboards, and reports.
  • Drive system enhancements for traceability, downtime tracking, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement.
  • Ensure data integrity and integration between MES and ERP systems.

ERP Ownership & Support

  • Lead the end-to-end management of ERP modules (Production, Procurement, Inventory, Quality, Finance, HR, etc.).
  • Coordinate with functional leads to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Work closely with ERP vendors and implementation partners for customization, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor system performance, user adoption, and ensure timely resolution of ERP issues.

Integration & Data Management

  • Design and maintain seamless integration between MES, ERP, and other applications (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, BI tools).
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and real-time synchronization across systems.
  • Develop analytical dashboards and MIS reports to support decision-making and production efficiency.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Industry 4.0 initiatives (IoT, predictive maintenance, digital twins, etc.).
  • Implement change management and user training programs to enhance digital adoption.

Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure data governance, backup, and access control policies are effectively implemented.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, process flows, and SOPs.
  • Support internal audits and IT compliance requirements.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

  • Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related fields.
  • Experience: 815 years of experience in MES and ERP implementation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, GE Proficy, Ignition, etc.).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, or Zoho Creator-based ERP.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes — production, quality, maintenance, and logistics.
  • Experience in database management (SQL/Oracle), API integration, and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.
