Role & responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain optimized SQL queries for large-scale data systems.
  • Analyze slow-running queries and implement performance tuning strategies.
  • Rewrite and refactor complex SQL queries for improved execution efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to design scalable database schemas and models.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Work with Big Data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive) to manage and query massive datasets.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
  • Partner with analytics and data science teams to support advanced modeling and machine learning initiatives.
  • Monitor database performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
  • Document best practices, optimization techniques, and technical specifications for cross-team use.

Preferred candidate profile

  1. 5+ years of experience in SQL query tuning and optimization on big data systems.
  2. Expert Knowledge on Rewrite the queries in optimized way.
  3. Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and data modeling
  4. Experience working with Big Data technologies.
  5. Experience with data warehousing, ETL, and data pipeline development
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams
  8. Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts
