Role Overview:

The role involves end-to-end management of PMS (Portfolio Management Services) client onboarding and account activation processes. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate onboarding, seamless fund handling, compliance with regulatory and internal TATs, and maintenance of MIS reports. The position requires close coordination with internal stakeholders, custodians, and clients, along with a sharp focus on operational accuracy and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-End Onboarding:

  2. Manage the complete PMS onboarding lifecycle from application receipt to account activation.

  3. Coordinate with Relationship Managers (RMs), internal teams, and custodians to ensure timely processing.

  4. Review and verify client documentation in accordance with SEBI and internal compliance guidelines.

  5. Funds Handling & Activation:

  6. Monitor incoming client funds and ensure activation within defined TATs to prevent idle funds.

  7. Work with the investment team for timely deployment of funds post-activation.

  8. Ensure correct credit of funds to the respective PMS collection accounts.

  9. Bank Reconciliation:

  10. Conduct daily reconciliation of PMS collection bank accounts.

  11. Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in coordination with IT, branches, and custodians.

  12. MIS & Reporting:

  13. Maintain and update daily MIS tracking:

  14. Account activation status

  15. Pending funds

  16. Stock inflow updates

  17. Share regular reports with management and other stakeholders.

  18. Stock Inflow Coordination:

  19. Track and update stock transfers received from clients.

  20. Coordinate with Depository Participants (DPs) and custodians for timely processing and confirmation.

  21. Compliance & Process Adherence:

  22. Ensure all onboarding and activation activities comply with SEBI regulations and internal policies.

  23. Maintain high levels of accuracy and adhere to defined turnaround times (TATs).
  24. Support audits and internal checks related to onboarding activities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of PMS operations and regulatory framework.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reconciliation and reporting.
  • Effective coordination and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, operational systems, and MIS reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage high volumes under tight deadlines and multitask efficiently.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in PMS, Capital Markets, or Wealth Management operations.
  • Prior experience in onboarding, client servicing, or reconciliation will be preferred.
