Job Title: Senior Safety Manager Real Estate

Location: Gurgaon

Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Reports To: Project Head

Job Summary

The Senior Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and programs across all real estate and construction projects. This role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and minimizes risks to workers, contractors, and stakeholders at project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement site safety plans, policies, and SOPs as per statutory norms (Factories Act, Building & Other Construction Workers Act, etc.).
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard analysis, and ensure preventive measures are in place.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national safety regulations.
  • Regularly inspect project sites to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Lead accident/incident investigations and prepare reports with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Liaise with government authorities, external auditors, and third-party safety consultants.
  • Maintain safety records, documentation, and MIS reports for management review.
  • Promote a culture of "Zero Harm" by driving awareness campaigns and best practices.
  • Supervise site safety officers and guide them in implementing safety measures effectively.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of construction safety laws, codes, and industry practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Risk assessment & incident investigation expertise.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and build safety culture across all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, safety audit tools, and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree/Diploma in Engineering or Safety Management.
  • Certification in Safety (NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA / Safety Diploma preferred).
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in HSE within real estate / large-scale construction projects.
