Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Sales Executive with 1–2 years of experience in sales (preferably government or B2G). The role involves handling government clients, assisting in tender activities, and supporting business development for software solutions across government departments, PSUs, and public sector agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and track government sales opportunities through tender portals, including GeM.
- Understand government procurement policies, tender requirements, and documentation.
- Prepare and submit proposals, bids, and RFP/RFQ responses.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tenders, submissions, follow-ups, and client communication.
- Coordinate with internal departments (technical, operations, finance) for timely submission of documents.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with officials in government departments and PSUs.
- Attend client meetings, exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events for business development.
- Stay updated on market trends, government buying behaviour, and competitor products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, IT, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in sales (software, government sales, or B2B/B2G preferred).
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage documentation, follow-ups, and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and field activities.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and eager to grow in government sales.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with GeM portal, e-tendering, or government procurement processes.
- Understanding of government RFP/RFQ formats and bid preparation.
- Two-wheeler preferred for field visits.
