Role Overview
The profile is responsible for driving the business development and sales activities through the sales of integrated electronic security solutions, Traffic Management Systems, Automation technology, ITeS and Network projects, security audits and related fields of activity as per Company profile.
This role involves managing the complete sales cycle, from lead generation and client engagement to solution design with presales, proposal submission, and contract closure with revenue collection, specifically for large-scale projects in Public Sector Institutions and Government sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the projects across target markets through tenders or nomination.
- Get involved during the design stage of the project for better understanding of the project.
- Create a funnel of projects with clarity on conversion and revenue.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, consultants, influencers and end-users to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions.
Technical Solutioning:
- Conduct site surveys, understand project requirements, and develop customised security system proposals including product selection, system integration requirements, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with presales and design team for finalising the winning proposal with best negotiated cost with respective OEMs
Proposal & Tender Management:
- Prepare and submit detailed tender proposals, manage tender documentation, and understand the tender to secure orders with control on terms.
Sales Target Achievement:
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets as assigned
- Contribute to the overall profitability and growth of the organisation.
Coordination & Project Handover:
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, installation) to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
Market Intelligence:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Processes and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
- Comply with organisational processes with highest regards to credibility, responsibility and transparency.
Candidate Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field. MBA or relevant certification in sales/marketing is an advantage.
Experience:
5–7 years of proven sales experience in electronic security systems or allied industries of target domains.
Technical Skills:
Good understanding of CCTV, Traffic Management Systems, Smart City solutions, access control, fire alarm, and integrated security solutions. Ability to read technical drawings and propose system designs. Awareness of OEM products and understanding of the latest technologies being deployed.
Sales Acumen: Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Experience in handling complex sales cycles and large projects.
Networking:
Existing network with consultants, clients, and influencers of projects in Government sector of target domains.
Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, target-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently.
Language:
Proficiency in English; knowledge of any local languages is an advantage.
Mobility:
Willingness to travel within assigned territory as required for client meetings and site visits.
