Pace Robotics is a construction robotics startup incubated by SINE IIT-Bombay and backed by Pidilite Ventures and IIMA Ventures. We are making the building construction process faster, smarter and efficient through modular multi-tasking robots that can do advanced construction tasks and digitize execution data in real time. Our first product is a modular wall finishing robot for putty, sanding and painting of building interiors.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage the final assembly and installation of robots according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Identify and co-ordinate with various fabricators for timely completion of assemblies as per drawings, specifications and required standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on assembled parts and assembled machines to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Identify and source components, maintain records of all mechanical parts of BOM and manage to stock availability as per production requirements.
  • Support onsite installation , commissioning and maintenance support of the robot after deployment with customers.

Who you are:

  • ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5-10 years industrial experience in mechanical fabrication, prototyping, and assembly of complex system
  • First-hand experience with basic manufacturing processes such as milling, drilling, turning, bending, welding (TIG and ARC), heat treatment, stamping, 3d printing and molding
  • Proficient in working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical assemblies, and precision alignment of machine components
  • Understanding of tolerances, fits and alignment
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical part and layout drawings and executing mechanical assembly and sub-assembly tasks.
  • Work experience in tooling/special machines/test equipment or similar industries
  • Manufacturing work experience in automotive or related industry.
